Speedway

For this project Jones Sign was hired by Speedway for permitting and fabrication of new signs, rebranded sites, and the installation of new like for like signage on new acquisitions. Jones Sign was able to complete 160 locations in 12 weeks, this included permitting, fabrication, shipping, and installation. During this time, Jones completed temp signs, permanent signs (building, gas canopy, freestanding sign face replacements), and LED retros of pylons/monuments.

The scope of work that this project required meant that this job needed to be done in a timely manner, with flexibility, and problem-solving abilities. This required the installation of several sites per day across various locations throughout Minnesota. Office PMs and field PMs along with several Jones Sign installation Foremen managed multiple sites with sub-contractors to sustain standard processes and maintain brand consistency.

Jones was ready to take on the last-minute temp signage requests, vinyl changes, and kept an inventory of various signs in stock that could be deployed to the field each morning. During this time multiple shifts in the fabrication department were required to keep up with the demands of this project. The extra shifts made it possible to keep a constant stream of shipments sent out to the central warehouse in Minnesota at all times of the day and night to keep stock inventory replenished and ready to be installed. The daily calls with customers to troubleshoot any issues, shifts in priorities, status updates made sure that all around satisfaction was achieved. A Quality Controller was sent to each site where there was an installation happening to assure signs are installed properly and products we delivered.
